"Elmo", a beautifully bred bobtail male from the famous Van Sapho's Hoeve Boxer Kennel in Belgium joined us here at Boxberry in February 2006. Elmo's photos above are at 16 months (Main photo) & 4 years.
Elmo has sired 15 litters thus far producing 96 puppies of which 45 have been bobtails, equalling 47% Bobtails - which is just under the expected percentage of 50% bobtails expected in matings of Bobtail x Pure lines. We are extremely pleased with the results he is consistently producing puppies which have lovely typical Boxer heads with correct muzzle proportions, beautiful eyes, expressions, lip placement and mouths - which can be seen in the photos below of his progeny. We are very happy with what Elmo has produced for us and look forward to some more Elmo babies in the future.
Elmo is the sire of the first Bobtail in the world to be awarded a Best In Group (Group 1) - Australian Champion Boxberry Sweet Surrender CCD "Zoë", Zoë is also the first Bobtail to have an obedience title as well.
There are some photo's of Elmo's offspring on the progeny page of our website we are very pleased with what he has produced so far.
We have quality frozen semen tucked away for our own use at a later date.
Elmo carries the red gene, he comes from fully health tested lines and has been health tested himself, his results can be seen on his own page on our website, down the bottom of his page.
